1. Getting started

How does Clockwork Meal work?

Tell us who you're cooking for, your cultures and cuisines, any allergies, and how much time you have. Our AI builds a personalised 7-day plan around all of it, then turns it into a ready-to-shop grocery list. Plan once, eat all week.

Do I need to create an account to try it?

You can explore as a guest. To save your plans, household profile, and shopping lists across devices, create a free account. It takes about a minute.

Is there an app?

Yes. Clockwork Meal runs on the web at clockworkmeal.app and as an iOS app. Your account and plans sync between them.

2. Meal plans & swaps

Can I change a meal I don't like?

Yes. Open any meal and ask for a swap, and the AI suggests alternatives that fit the rest of your week, your allergies, and your cuisines. Your shopping list updates automatically when you swap.

Can I ask questions about a recipe?

Tap a meal to chat about it: “can I use paneer instead of cheddar?”, “how do I make this milder?” The assistant always knows your household's allergies and preferences.

Why does a plan sometimes take a moment to generate?

A full personalised week is generated fresh for your household. It usually only takes a few seconds. You can browse elsewhere while it finishes, and we'll let you know when it's ready.

3. Allergies & dietary rules

Always check ingredient labels yourself. Our allergy filtering is a helpful tool, not a safety guarantee. Meal plans and nutrition figures are AI-generated estimates and can contain errors, so please verify anything that matters for your family's health.

How do I set allergies for each person?

In your household profile you can record allergies per family member as well as household-wide rules. The AI uses these every time it builds or swaps a meal. Keep them up to date if anything changes.

Can I set dietary styles like vegetarian or halal?

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-conscious and more. You can mix dietary styles with your favourite cuisines, and fine-tune them any time in your preferences.

4. Shopping lists

Where does my shopping list come from?

It's built automatically from your plan's ingredients, with quantities consolidated and grouped by aisle. Swap a meal and the list updates so you only buy what you'll actually use.

Can I add my own items or share the list?

Yes. Add items manually for anything outside your plan, check items off as you shop, and share the list with whoever's heading to the shops.

5. Account & sign-in

I didn't get my confirmation email.

Confirmation emails sometimes land in spam. Check there first. On the signup screen you can also tap Resend confirmation email to send a fresh link. Still stuck? Email us and we'll sort it out.

How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, choose Forgot password? and enter your email. We'll send a reset link. You can also change your password any time from Settings.

Can I sign in with Google or Apple?

Yes. Use Continue with Google or Continue with Apple on the login or signup screen. You can keep using the same method each time.

6. Billing & subscriptions

What do I get for free?

The Free tier lets you build a plan and try the core experience. Plus and Pro unlock higher limits and extra features. See the pricing page for what's included in your region.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

For web subscriptions, go to Settings → Manage Subscription. For iOS, manage it in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep paid features until then.

How do refunds work?

For web (Stripe) purchases, contact us within 14 days if the service didn't meet its description. For iOS purchases, refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply.

7. Your data & privacy

What do you do with my family's information?

We use your household, allergy, and preference data only to plan meals for you. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated data and can't be undone.
